About the Executive Board
The three-member board is responsible has the responsibility for establishing the rules and regulations for training for fire service and specialized training, non-fire service personnel in Indiana including setting criteria for certification of firefighters at different levels of education within the state. The board has taken a very pro-active approach to fire service training and has placed Indiana in the forefront of certifications offered.
Interlocal Agreement
Through the Restated Interlocal Cooperation Agreement (PDF), Brown Township, Lincoln Township, and the Town of Brownsburg entered into agreement to establish The Brownsburg Fire Territory.
Under the interlocal, an Executive Board was established, consisting of the Brown Township Trustee, Lincoln Township Trustee, and a Town of Brownsburg Town Council member. The terms follow each representative's term with their legislative body.
